Major Recruitment are looking for an experienced Parts, Stores Assistant for our client based in Thorne Doncaster. Hours of work Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm Pay £23-£28K The Role: To provide support to the smooth efficent running of the Parts department and ensuring that all stakerholder requirements are met in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate stock records using BMW computer systems Report on any deviaton in quality of parts purchased Keep Senior Parts Advisor informed of any challenges relating to parts/workshop operations Place Orders with BMW UK and external suppliers to keep stock at agreed levels using computer and manual systems To produce parts estimates for all damaged vehicles To identifty amd allocate parts for campaigns and special projects Carry out stock checks and investigate any discrepencies Warranty parts returns processing Complete efficient returns of non required parts Ensure workshop staff receive a minmum delay when obtaining partsfrom the Parts department Work overtime as and when required to cover operational requirements To keep a high level of house keeping within the parts department To maintain a high regard for health and safety at all times,using equipment provided for personnel safety and the safety of others. Undertake other duties as directed commensrate with the level of job functionDesired skills and competencies: Good attention to detail Excellent planning and organisational skills Ability to work without supervision Ability to work effectively in a busy environment, ability to work under pressure.
