Steer Automotive Group is a leading automotive accident repair provider dedicated to offering exceptional services to our valued customers. Our team is committed to integrity and excellence, and we are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Parts Advisor to join the team at our Steer Commercial Sunderland site. About the Role As a Parts Advisor with Steer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our service department operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing inventory, liaising with suppliers and providing support to our technicians. Your expertise in automotive parts and exceptional communication skills will contribute to our reputation for delivering top-notch service. Main Responsibilities: * Allocating parts into stock and booking parts onto the system to maintain accurate inventory records. * Chasing parts orders to ensure timely delivery and minimise delays for the wider bodyshop team. * Liaise with suppliers to request delivery dates and co-ordinate returns for credit. * Contribute to managing and maintaining our supplier relationships. * Ensure the Parts Department is kept clean and organised. About You We are looking for an exceptional candidate with: * Previous experience working in a purchasing role, ideally within the automotive industry. * Commercially astute with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all transactions. * Ability to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision. * Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues and external suppliers.
