Job description Our Foston based Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial vehicle Paint Shop Manager with exceptional organizational skills to lead a busy commercial paint shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple tasks while working with the executive team to develop innovative programs that meet customers' needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive paint shop management experience with an ability to manage staff and a desire to make a difference at a successful and growing company. Responsibilities: PAINTSHOP MANAGER – REPORTING TO the General Manager Duties & Responsibilities Manage the day to day operation of the whole Paint Shop ensuring that production targets and standards are met, effecting recovery of maximum return. Ensure that all productive work is inspected to meet company/customer quality requirements and that the procedures relating to ISO accreditation are complied with. Have a knowledge of skill disciplines. Manage Paint Shop staff, monitoring performance, discipline, training and personnel and ensuring needs are met. Have a knowledge and ability to specify and estimate. Must be fully conversant with and implement Company Handbook and Health and Safety Policies. Manage and monitor on shopfloor Health and Safety and EPA requirements, maintaining high standards. Control resources, equipment and materials to effect the best return. Actively seek and act upon opportunities to reduce costs and waste. Ensure all plant and equipment is issued and maintained as necessary. Maintain and update all relevant work records and documentation, including data input in accordance with Company procedures, accurately and in a timely manner. Plan, organise and problem solve to ensure most efficient use of Paint Shop staff, equipment and time through using cost control, performance and quality monitoring skills. Liaise with customers in a considerate and professional manner to promote a positive image of the Company. * Must have an innovative and proactive approach and be able to identify problem areas and implement improved systems etc. * Must have balanced judgement, lead by example and work closely with both management team and subordinates whilst maintaining discipline and respect. * Manage timesheets in a timely manner. * Manage welfare and discipline requirements via immediate Manager. * Champion company values and culture. * Develop and train employees to meet performance standards. * Manage employees working to the same standard. Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Salary: Up to £60,000.00 per year Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime * Weekend availability
