We are seeking an experienced Paint Department Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our paint department at our Hoddesdon workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality paint finishes, maintaining efficiency, and supervising a team of paint technicians. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate the daily workflow of the paint department, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met. * Oversee vehicle preparation, priming, and painting to ensure high-quality finishes. * Assist in colour matching and paint application when necessary. * Ensure all work meets customer expectations and company standards. * Monitor and maintain stock levels of paint, materials, and equipment. * Train and mentor paint technicians to improve skills and performance. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the paint shop. * Work closely with other departments to meet deadlines and maintain smooth operations. * Conduct quality control checks to identify and address any issues before vehicles are released. * Provide progress updates to management and assist in improving department efficiency. Candidate Qualifications * Proven experience in a supervisory role within an automotive paint shop or body shop environment. * Strong technical knowledge of vehicle painting, refinishing, and colour matching. * Ability to manage and motivate a team while maintaining high-quality standards. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Strong organisational and time management abilities. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume workshop. * Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to paint operations. * A full UK driving license is preferred.
