My world leading Nottinghamshire based clients are currently seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to join their incredibly busy and highly proficient team with immediate effect. As an Operational buyer, working in the external supply chain, the successful person will be managing a portfolio of products from multiple vendors to support our customers’ requirements. The successful candidate will: * Manage a portfolio of suppliers on a global supply base. * Responsible for creation and management of supplier delivery schedules to meet customer requirements. * Conduct order book reviews, identifying supply chain risks and opportunities, in close liaison with Engineering, Planning and customer facing teams. * Lead team of 3 – Planning, Engineering and Commercial on a variety of issues that could impact delivery. * Manage invoice queries to ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner. It is essential that the successful candidate: * Excellent communication skills and team working * PC literacy * Ability to work autonomously. * Track record in problem solving. * Willingness to travel It is desirable that the successful candidate: * A working Knowledge of SAP * An understanding of planning and control ERP process and systems * Experience of working in a Manufacturing/Production environment * Aerospace supply chain experience Hours of work: Days – 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday core hours 08:00-16:12 This initially will be a 12-Month fixed term contract therefore, we are only interested in hearing from candidates available for the duration of the contract.
