NVH Test Validation Engineer Location: Peterborough Contract details: 12 months (inside IR35) Hourly rate: £34.25 Umbrella OR £25.63 PAYE The Opportunity Are you an experienced project management professional with a passion for driving successful product development? Belcan Workforce Solution are seeking an NVH Test Validation Engineer to join our Heavy Engineering client's team in Peterborough. In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovation, leading the execution of small to medium-scale projects that shape the future of our products. The Role You will be working directly for an engine platform NVH lead and will be supported in their work in any number of functional areas. The role is predominantly vibration and noise measurement within the Peterborough facility, however there is a prospect for travel to undertake testing at other customer facilities. Skills and Experience: The expectation is that the engineer wholly owns the request from the customer and can understand the requirements Set up instrumentation for data acquisition, signal processing and analysis, technical report writing and presenting out The nature of the work requires the ability to understand prescribed processes, demonstrating a level of practical engineering application The role relies on good communication and interaction with supporting technicians and the engineering customer Mechanical Engineering Degree with a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in a related engineering role Applicants must have NVH experience, although it is not necessary to be on industrial diesel engines You may gained the following skills and experience through previous roles: Having design, validation or testing experience of combustion engines. This could either be in a test cell environment with engine/chassis dyno or with industrial machines or vehicles. The NVH department uses Siemens Testlab software, it would be preferrable for applicants to have knowledge of this software but proficiency of similar analysis packages will be considered.
