Job description Are you an experienced HGV/Trailer Technician looking for a new position working on NIGHTS? We are currently recruiting for a number of experienced NIGHTS HGV/Trailer Technicians to work for our client a UK leader in the retail industry. What's on Offer to HGV Technicians * 4 on 4 off shift pattern - MUST be able to work weekends * Hours 6pm till 6am (On average you will work 39 hours a week) * 5.6 weeks paid holiday a year (This increases after 5 years service) * Salary on offer - £48,000 + £9120 Night Shift Allowance = £57,120 basic Responsibilities of an HGV Technician: * Servicing * Maintaining and fixing 5thWheels * Dealing with electrical faults in units * Maintaining and fixing driving and parking sensors * Dealing with marker lights * Tail Lift maintenance and vehicle body work repairs, fabrication and basic welding processes * Complete administrative tasks and reports as requested * Road testing vehicles * Fixing Suzie lines and connections * Maintaining and fixing airlines * Maintaining and fixing skid ramps * Maintaining and fixing mud guards and wheel arches * Diagnostic work * Downloading tacho information when required * Dealing with emergency warnings on vehicles * Brakes checks and changes * Suspension work * Repairing and changing head gaskets * MOT Prep & Post MOT repairs Qualifications/Requirements: * Must have a Level 2 or 3 qualification with Heavy Good Vehicles (ideally with experience working with trailers) * Full UK driving licence (HGV Licence beneficial but not essential) * IRTEC inspection licence along with any tail lift inspection certification * Tail lift experience (Beneficial but not essential) * Experience in fault diagnostic equipment, e.g. Tech tool, STAR and JAL and including trailer systems
