Night Shift Vehicle Technician Shift Pattern: 4 nights per week | 5:30pm – 4:30am The Role We are seeking a skilled Night Shift Vehicle Technician to join a busy, well-equipped workshop. This role is ideal for a technician who works well independently and takes pride in producing high-quality work during overnight operations. You will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring vehicles are prepared and ready for daytime operations. Key Responsibilities * Carry out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs to manufacturer standards * Diagnose and rectify faults using diagnostic equipment * Complete MOT preparation and inspections (if qualified) * Ensure all work is completed accurately and within allocated times * Maintain clear and accurate job cards and documentation * Work with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards * Adhere to health & safety procedures * Maintain a clean and organised workshop Requirements * Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ / IMI Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) * Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician (dealer or independent) * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills * MOT Tester qualification (desirable, not essential) * Comfortable working 4 nights per week (5:30pm–4:30am) * Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer * Competitive basic salary plus night shift allowance * Excellent work-life balance with a 4-night working week * Ongoing training and development * Modern workshop with up-to-date diagnostic equipment * Pension scheme * Holiday entitlement + bank holidays
