Salary in range £45-50k Bonuses at target level of c £15k Car allowance Pension Our client provides tools for dealer groups, OEMs, leasing, rental, and insurance industries ranging from used car valuations, vehicle appraisal, inventory management, market information, dealer group reporting and sales lead generation. Role purpose: The National Business Development Manager will deliver new business contracts with dealer prospects and re-secure existing clients using a structured engagement process. This position will also sell remarketing services to all of our customers in accordance with our business plans. Key responsibilities: * Responsible for identifying and targeting key individuals within a portfolio of dealer groups including CEO, CFO, Operations Director and Used Car Director * Responsible for pre prospecting by reviewing dealer group pricing and stock management performance using tools and data to identify key opportunities to engage with key decision makers * Responsible for qualification of prospects by making detailed analyses on how dealer group prospects’ manage their pricing strategy throughout their used car process * Responsible for introducing the product concepts, identifying how this could support dealer profitability and used car performance and how it will achieve the dealer group’s aim of improving profits. * Responsible for executing highly controlled trials within dealer groups, ensuring that clear roles and responsibilities have been identified within the business and that clear success criteria has been agreed * Responsible for negotiating and closing long term contracts with dealer groups covering licence fees, implementation process and ongoing support process * Responsible for implementation, ensuring products are fully embedded within the dealership management hierarchy by agreeing an initial pricing strategy with the senior management in all dealer group customers and training all layers of management in both the concepts of pricing strategy and use of the tool * Responsible for up-selling and re-securing contracts by introducing and selling additional products and seamlessly re-signing dealers and implementing price increases * Responsible for ensuring the company’s salesforce CRM tool is fully utilised recording all activity coupled with establishing and maintaining appropriate follow up cycles * Responsible for actively seeking out market intelligence on competitive products, pricing, functionality and sales approach and ensuring country and group management are fully aware of challenges and threats * Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow and nurture the customer base * Responsible for monitoring industry trends and be able to articulate this to new and existing clients Key Skills & Knowledge * Sales experience across B2B * Understanding of the automotive industry * Ability to convince others to absorb/embrace new products and concepts * Ability to build sound relationships at a senior level in dealer groups * Highly organised in approach coupled with the ability to manage personal time effectively * Self-starter with the ability to work remotely * Commercial awareness Benefits An exciting position in a rapidly growing organisation, a competitive salary and OTE, car allowance, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service), employee discount perks scheme, death in service benefit and company pension
