Our client an excellent company currently looking to recruit an MOT Tester for the Wakefield workshop. * £ Excellent Pay £ : £18 to £20 per hour – PAYE or UMBRELLA or LTD COMPANY - * Weekly pay * Full-Time * On-going – no end date! – permanent opportunities available for the right candidates where required. * Flexible start dates available to suit individual needs and immediate starts available. * Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire * Hours: Monday to Friday – 07:15 to 15:15 - *excellent work / life balance hours* The Role. * MOT TESTER * Working on a variety of cars and vans for the one business, in the one workshop in Wakefield , appointed to MOTs only. Responsibilities: * Receiving and completing work orders. * Conducting MOT tests according to Ministry standards. * Reading car and truck service manuals. * Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. * always Observing safety protocols. * Rectifying faults and mechanical failures. The successful applicant will: * Be qualified to level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle repair. – Evidence required* * Be qualified in MOT Testing with valid certificates in 4 , 5 and 7 ideally however certs in 4 and 7 accepted – Evidence required* * Have your own tools. * current and full UK driving licence for the vehicle classes you want to test. * be a skilled mechanic with at least 4 years' full-time employment servicing and repairing the types of vehicles you're going to test. * have no unspent convictions for criminal offences.
