Job Title: Mobile Plant Fitter Location: Swindon, UK Salary: £55,000 Basic + Van + Fuel Card Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, Days About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team in Swindon. This role involves the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a variety of heavy plant machinery, ensuring that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of heavy plant equipment, including excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, and loaders. * Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults. * Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. * Provide on-site breakdown support and technical assistance to customers. * Maintain accurate service records and complete all necessary paperwork. * Travel to customer sites as required, with a fully equipped company van. Requirements: * Experience as a Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Engineer, or similar role. * Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. * NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (preferred but not essential). * Full UK driving licence. * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
