We are looking for an Mechanic/MOT Technician for a small but ambitious garage business. The role will be based in Saltford, and is full time, Monday to Friday (working 8.30am – 6pm). The role Reporting into the Garage Manager duties will include: * Carrying out MOT's on light commercial vehicle and cars * Carrying out the mechanical servicing, repair and MOT Testing on a variety of vehicles. * Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and filter replacements, clutches and timing belts. * Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment. * Conducting inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs. * Using hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and installations. * Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and services performed. * Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction. * Maintaining compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedure. * Ensuring work is carried out to a high standard. The person * Experience in Mechanical Technician/Vehicle Technician * You will be an MOT Tester with current valid license * Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills * Proficiency with hand tools and power tools * Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and software * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Excellent problem-solving abilities * Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks Salary £25,000 - £32,000 plus 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), Monday to Friday (NO SATURDAY WORKING) – 8.30am – 6pm and pension.
