Do you have experience training others and want to transition into a different setting, passing on your mechanics knowledge? * Monday - Friday * 8.30am-4pm We are recruiting on behalf of a school near Tooting bec / Wandsworth, and we are looking for a skilled Mechanic who can teach others. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in mechanics who wants to have a positive impact on students with a keen interest in motor-mechanics. The school cater to primary, secondary and sixth form students. Local transport links: Wandsworth Common overground, Tooting Bec underground and local bus routes. There is also FREE on-site parking. Mechanics Trainer - Key Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons in mechanics to students with SEMH needs, adapting the curriculum to meet individual learning styles and abilities. * Create a structured and supportive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn. * Work closely with support staff and the wider teaching team to ensure students receive holistic, tailored education and care. * Develop practical learning activities and projects that inspire students, helping them to build confidence and real-world skills. * Monitor student progress and behaviour, implementing strategies to manage challenges and help students overcome barriers to learning. * Support students’ social and emotional development alongside academic progress, building strong, trusting relationships with them. Requirements for this *Mechanics Trainer* role: * Proven experience in mechanics, with either a formal qualification in the subject or significant industry experience. * Experience in delivering training or lessons in a professional setting, particularly to young people. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport. * A calm, patient, and resilient approach, with a genuine passion for helping people to succeed.
