Mechanical Service Assistant  Location: Sheffield Pay: £15.31 P/H  Contract Type: Permanent  Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off  Hours: 6am to 6pm  Work with one of the world’s most recognised transport networks, offering first-class training, development, and progression for ambitious Mechanical Assistants looking to progress into fully qualified PSV Engineers.  What you’ll be doing in your new Mechanical Assistant Role To carry out minor vehicle repairs to keep our fleet moving Carrying out routine vehicle servicing in line with our standard operating procedures To attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries To ensure all parts are booked out from stores using the correct procedure To adhere to good housekeeping practices including general tidiness in the workshop and the return of all tools and equipment to their designated place Taking part in training and development to grow your skills Working with full PPE and overalls providedWhat you’ll need for your new Mechanical Assistant Role  A basic knowledge of heavy motor vehicles is essential A valid UK driving license is essential You must be able to work unsupervised or as part of a team Possession of a PSV license is desirable but not mandatory You must be a UK resident and prove right to work status Speak with Elliot Gotts on (phone number removed) or apply now.
