Mechanical Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing Powys £42k + Fantastic Company Benefits Permanent I am currently looking for an accomplished Mechanical Engineer for a global automotive manufacturer based in the Powys area Your key responsibilities involve the development and introduction of all new products, the preparation of CAD models and the completion of dimensional drawings to high tolerances You will be involved in: - * Designing, owning and delivering concepts as required into production * Attend and take responsibility for DFMEA aspects within vehicle programme * Working closely with manufacturing engineering ensure that design for manufacture and design for assembly has been adequately considered * Review and check CAD pre-release, whilst ensuring GD&T, drawing specifications and standards. * To support the enquiry and estimating process at the quotation stage and manage the required cross functional feasibility reviews * To complete initial sample trials, tool try outs and fit & function meeting on new products * Design and have manufactured production process or ‘Go / No-Go’ jigs and fixtures as required Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related subject, you will have a strong automotive manufacturing background as you will need to ensure that all of the work practices throughout the business are completed in accordance to IATF 16949 & ISO14001 procedures If you would like to apply, then please send through a copy of your most up-to-date CV, together with a relevant cover-letter and reference 47556/MEGRSKM27
