Mechanical Design Engineer - Casting Metallurgy Sector: Body & Chassis Duration: 1 year contract Location: Remote Outside IR35 *Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.* Job Description As Mechanical Design Engineer your main responsibilities are: Proficient in CATIA V6 for 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation. Understanding of metallurgical principles, including alloy selection, heat treatment, and failure analysis. Proficiency in simulation tools such as FEA and CFD related to casting processes. Experience with quality control techniques, including NDTQualifications / Skills needed Minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale casting metallurgy within heavy machinery, automotive, or aerospace industries. Catia v6 Proven track record in designing and developing large cast metal components. Familiarity with the requirements of off-highway and heavy earth-moving equipment.
