This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects with a range of clients. Your initial placement will be with a prestigious Aerospace OEM in the South West.   Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for: Designing and modeling suite components of products to meet program requirements while ensuring designs meet cost and weight targets. Participating in design reviews during each phase of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Selecting and applying appropriate materials and processes for each element. Ensuring successful integration of each design element within the product, participating in its validation using methods such as prototyping, testing, and DFMEA. Delivering design solutions within agreed schedules and budgets. Communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, and OEMs throughout the design process. Following and contributing to the development of best practice guidelines. Checking engineering packages of work from other designers and offshore teams. Preparing drawings and models for approval. Qualifications Previous experience and knowledge of aircraft or automotive seat design and surfaces is required. Solid design engineering track record. Proficiency with 3D CAD, CATIA, and SmarTeam. Good knowledge of manufacturing methods and design for manufacturing and assembly. Experience with BMS documentation, ECRs, and engineering changes. Excellent communication skills.
