Mechanical Design Engineer | Automotive | Wymondham | up to £40,000 Our client, who are based on the outskirts of Norwich, are an established automotive technology company with a global client base. They are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative R&D team. You will be responsible for producing mechanical designs for a range of products and applications in 3D and 2D using SolidWorks. Responsibilities: Develop design concepts using 2D drawings, 3D models and prototypes.  Produce engineering drawings, specifications, BOM structures, part lists and costings. Managing multiple design tasks at once.  Work closely with other disciplines manufacturing departments and suppliers. Key requirements: Mechanical Design experience – producing schematics, modelling, and detailing. Working in a fast-paced, time pressured R&D environment. Advanced CAD skills, preference for SolidWorks & AutoCAD. Automotive experience would be preferred but not essential. Salary and Benefits: Salary up to £40,000. 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
