Mechanical Design Engineer Fully remote - 40 hours per week 6 month initial contract Outside IR35 £50 per hour The Job: As a Design Engineer (EWIS) you will be part of an IPT (Integrated Project Team) responsible for the Design of the mechanical integration of the EWIS systems of a Jet from prototype into production. Design Aerospace assemblies throughout their lifecycle Create 3D routings for harness assemblies and design models using Siemens NX Consult with engineers of other disciplines, for example Manufacturing Engineers regarding the manufacture of your designs Manage the design data of your system in Teamcenter (PBS, BOM, etc.)Essential skillsets required: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the aerospace industry is required Strong knowledge of Siemens NX and Teamcenter Advanced knowledge of ISO GPS (alternatively ASME GD&T) and overall good drafting skills are required Experience in harness routing is required (experience using NX for routing is desired) Experience with systems engineering eg, in interface definition is beneficial Excellent understanding of general design principles and technical correlations is requiredIf this sounds like a good fit for you please get in touch with Kate Blackwell at JAM Recruitment as soon as possible
