Have a passion for classic cars? Have vehicle build experience? My client is looking for a Mechanical Build Technician to play a pivotal role in research and development and in the bespoke conversion of classic vehicles. Responsibilities: * You will meticulously strip vehicles of their legacy drivetrains and replace them with a drivetrain solution, which includes HV battery systems, e-motor, inverter, gearbox, power steering system, cooling, HVAC and other systems, while working closely with direct colleagues * Lead the build of client vehicles through to handover * Responsible for accurate build records * Collaborate with engineering on build specifications and design * Develop work instructions and guidance materials for internal and external use * Ensure team compliance with quality assurance processes and contribute to continuous improvement Experience Required: * 5 years' experience in leading niche/classic vehicle build, rebuild or restoration Desirable Experience: * Metal fabrication, including sheet metal, welding, and machining * Classic car repair and maintenance * Automotive HVAC system installation * Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
