Materials Manager - Global Tier 1 Automotive Supplier Location: Wolverhampton Salary: £52,000 - £55,000 Hours: 39 hours per week, Day Shift Are you an experienced Material Services Manager looking to lead and optimize internal logistics operations in a fast-paced automotive environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Tier 1 automotive company at the forefront of innovation and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Lead & manage the internal logistics team, ensuring smooth material flow to and from production. Drive efficiency by reducing OEE losses and optimizing logistics performance. Manage vehicle fleet operations and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements. Attend daily and weekly meetings to report on logistics performance and implement countermeasures. Standardize best practices and oversee team training, development, and performance management. Monitor KPIs related to accidents, incidents, and operational efficiency. What We're Looking For: Proven experience in automotive logistics management (ideally Tier 1) Strong people management and leadership skills - able to engage and develop teams. A logical, methodical, and tenacious approach to problem-solving. IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or equivalent). Experience with business processes and continuous improvement in a similar environment.
