Material Handling Supervisor Permanent Sunderland £41,500 to £43,100 Must be able to work shifts days and lates Permanent An automotive manufacturing business based in Sunderland, are looking for an enthusiastic Material Handling Supervisor to join the logistics department on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience of material control within a busy manufacturing warehouse Role & Responsibilities · Supervising a team of Team Leaders and Material Handling staff including their safety, training and time sheets. · Planning and monitoring all material movement. · Planning equipment, material and manpower requirements to meet production schedule. · Working closely with Production in resolving production planning and control issues. · Communicating any production updates and changes to Managers and customers on regular basis. · Monitoring inventory status and generating monthly inventory reports. · Generating reports on production shortages for analysis. · Develop process improvements for inventory, manufacturing and production control systems Knowledge & Experience · Previous experience within a similar role ideally within the automotive industry · The ability to prioritise a heavy workload and work effectively · Must have a clear focus on quality · Must be prepared to work shifts and overtime when required by the business
