Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will be engaged in a stimulating 37.5-hour workweek, and the potential for overtime. The ideal candidate will possess a robust knowledge of automotive chassis products and the processes employed at the Aycliffe plant. Mastery of machining processes and associated tooling in an automated environment is essential, as is the ability to create and modify NC programmes using G & N Coding. Your expertise will also extend to planning, assessing lead-times, and evaluating costs to discern the impact of product and process alterations. Adept at organising personnel, products, and processes, you will play a pivotal role in the seamless introduction of changes. Your commitment to safety is paramount, as you will be expected to be fully conversant with the safe working practices required in a production/automated environment. Your mechanical comprehension, numerical computation skills, and technical understanding will be put to the test, as will your innate ability to work independently and manage resources effectively.
