We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in support of a globally successful aerospace manufacturer who designs, develops, manufactures and supports a comprehensive range of solutions in support of both civil and military applications based in the Wolverhampton area on a permanent or contract basis. Other responsibilities include: Identify and implement projects to reduce Scrap, Rework and Repair (SRR) Advocate an inclusive team environment with a Can Do attitude Support Zero Defect Initiative implementation (internal and supply chain) Champion the use of process robustness tools: PPAP- (Product Part Approval Process) PFMEA- (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) RRCA- (Relentless Root Cause Analysis) MPR- (Manufacturing Process Review) Manage Quality Notifications and disposition accordingly Carry out any other duties as required to support general operations of the Quality / Manufacturing Department The Person The Manufacturing Engineer will have experience operating within a manufacturing “shop floor” environment and is able to communicate effectively across various levels and disciplines. You shall be a highly motivated and driven engineer who is responsive to change and is able to make clear and concise decisions under pressure. The successful candidate must have the ability to gain commitments from internal and external stakeholders whilst communicating seamlessly and presenting technical data to senior management. The individual will utilise a hands-on approach and lead from the front to ensure that engineering best practices are being promoted and adhered to. Due to the nature of work candidates should be UK citizen/ EU Citizen/ Valid work permit holder. Experience Required for the Manufacturing Engineer: Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience Fabrication or sheet metal knowledge Hands-on execution of projects/work packages Understanding of Siemens NX Compliance and management of Quality Management Systems Conduct Technical Reviews/ Conduct Quality reviews, Log defects, monitor Measurement and Analysis related activities including, RCA's, & identifying the improvement actions Updating / Customization of technical checklists, evidence for audits and compliance checks.
