We are presently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for a global automotive manufacturer based in the midlands. As Manufacturing Engineer you will be tasked with ensuring that all Manufacturing Processes are transferred from the development stage of the project into manufacturing efficiently in order to meet internal and external customer targets. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for: *Implementing Continuous Improvement activity within existing manufacturing lines utilising Lean Manufacturing philosophy. *Implement FMEA’s, Process Flows, Control Plans, Work Instructions, Gauge Instructions, PPAP submissions, Packing Instructions, and other process documents. *Attend the pre-production trials with internal and external customers to ensure targets can be achieved (Quality, Capability, Capacity and Safety). *Recording problems identified and agree action plans with relevant departments/suppliers during prototype stage and on to production delivery. *Create Standard Operating Procedures to enable operations to build/assembly products on time and at the right quality. *Develop Controls Plans, Process Flows, PFMEA in line with NPI process *Support training of the relevant personnel on any new processes, which are being introduced to the plant. We are looking for applications from candidates that have engineering qualifications, degree/HND/HNC supported by previous experience of working within an automotive manufacturing arena. You should be dynamic, self-motivated with the ability to lead teams in New Product Introduction disciplines, from prototype/tooling stage through to full production. Candidates will possess excellent problem solving skills as well as the ability to manage customer expectations and close out any issues in a prompt, professional and efficient manner.
