As a Module Support Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading improvements to current processes in the assembly and test areas. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that products are produced efficiently, safely, and economically. You will have the opportunity to drive continuous improvement activities, focusing on quality improvement, waste elimination, and cost reduction. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting operations, addressing technical issues, and making process changes as needed. Summary: Start date: ASAP Duration: 6 months Location: Wolverhampton Pay Rate: £35 - £45.00 per hour - Umbrella Hours: 37 per weekDuties Include: Lead Transformation activities across the Value Stream Work with the Value Stream to redesign the building layout to better utilise the space, increase output, decrease processing times, using industry/CORE principles Create and modify manufacturing process routings Be responsible for managing changes to existing processes as a result of Engineering design changes, engineering release note (ERN) Recommending product design changes to aid manufacture, Engineering change request (ECR) Tool design (simple to moderate tools and fixtures), procurement and validation Modification of manufacturing standard work Maintaining TPM definition documentation (FLM sheets) Support first article inspection activitiesRequirements: Experience in aerospace manufacturing/assembly and test Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Understanding of manufacturing concepts/processes Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or Apprentice trained with HNC or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Production Engineering Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsJoin our client's team and be a part of the future of aerospace innovation!
