First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Manufacturing Engineer to join an established and growing company in the Glasgow region. Discounts on shopping and holidays On-site parking.This role will require you to lead and successfully deliver product introduction and continuous improvement projects, that optimise and enhance commercial success for the business, and provide the greatest satisfaction to customers. Duties will involve the following: Planning and delivering enhanced and optimised inspection and verification processes for machined products. Preparing inspection work packs including CNC programs, tooling sheets, inspection plans and SOPs. Leading proactive and reactive quality workstreams such as improvement projects and non-conformance investigations. Supporting operational demands in relation to daily Quality, Cost and Delivery challenges Managing all relevant customer documentation including FAIR, APQP, PPAP, 8D, concessions etc.Essential skills, experience and knowledge: The successful candidate must: Have prior experience in a similar capacity of at least 3 years. Have previous experience of working with high value and critical aerospace and defence components. A strong background in metrology, with both theoretical and practical skillsets. Have proficiency in offline CMM Programming. Strong 3/4/5-axis CNC milling background and skillset Proficient in offline CAM programming for Fanuc & Siemens controlsAdditional experience can include: Experience in PC-DMIS Metrology software as well as aerospace quality standards and documentation.
