Our client is looking for a highly experienced logistics buyer who can support our client on a permanent basis. Our client is a busy logistics business. you’ll be supporting the procurement strategy for the Logistics team to maximise cost savings whilst maintaining standards. Our client would consider buyer backgrounds from a logistics, automotive, parts, mechanical background. What you need for this role: • Identify, improve and manage all logistics suppliers, ensuring maximum value creation for all parties. • Using market trends and forecasts to leverage negotiations with suppliers. • Ensuring suppliers used are minimising environmental impact by working closely with the sustainability team. • Working closely with Logistics team to identify suppliers based on optimal performance, and at times challenging decisions to ensure the best results.
