About Us Agratas is a global battery business within the Tata group. We are rapidly scaling up our operations to pioneer the design, development, and manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) at our state-of-the-art gigafactory in the UK. Job Purpose We are looking for a Logistics and Customs Clearance Executive to join our team at Agratas. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods within country and international borders, managing customs clearance processes, and optimising supply chain operations. You will require a strong understanding of logistics, customs regulations, and international trade practices. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including suppliers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Key Duties & Responsibilities: * Negotiate prices with logistic companies/shipping companies and freight forwarders to ensure availing the best market rate. * Perform and implement all custom clearance activities such as following upcoming Shipment, documents transactions and day-to-day related activities in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures. * Following up with suppliers for complete set of shipping documents for customs clearance purposes and ensure its compliance with Customs regulations and exemption lists requirements. * Oversee the overall assignments of the Air freight and Sea freight Customs Clearance * Follow-up with the Customs Brokers for clearance of imported items within the shortest possible time and/or the agreed time frame. * Examining invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations. * Inspect loading, cargo, sealing and document handover to transporter. * Develop reports on cargo movements and various operational logistics issues. Qualifications & Experience: Essential * Degree or diploma in a relevant field * Substantial supply chain experience with a reputed organisation. * In-depth knowledge within Customs tariff, Notifications, FTA. * Microsoft Office proficiency. Desirable * Hands on experience in Customs clearance of engineering goods/ Chemicals. * Experience within an engineering background will be preferred.
