Shift Pattern: To be confirmed. It will include day, late and night working as well as weekend and Bank Holiday working as part of a rolling roster. They are looking to increase their fleet of roadside patrol vans and are looking for skilled, friendly and helpful people to join their hardworking team. Based from home and provided with a work van, tools and uniform, this is a fantastic opportunity for an NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join this prestigious company. Attending customers at home, in their place of work or by the roadside and… * Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults * Diagnosing and repairing Electrical faults * Towing broken down vehicles from the roadside to a designated drop off point using the onboard towing equipment To be considered for the role you must be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative. The company are especially interested speaking to candidates with at least 3 years driving experience. In addition, the following key skills and experience are essential: * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Vehicle Mechanics / Repair * Recent hands-on garage, workshop or mobile mechanics experience (within the past 5 years) * Full category B or above driving licence with a maximum of 6 points for minor endorsements and no outstanding DD, DR or CD penalties * Able to use diagnostic equipment * Familiar with electrical, fuel and ignition systems of vehicles (Electric and Hybrid training available) * Confident and personable when talking to customers * Willing to work by the roadside in all weather conditions * Empathetic and appreciative of the stressful situation that customers can find themselves in.
