Position: Lead Systems Engineer Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire Job Type: Permanent / Onsite My client, a leading force within aerospace manufacturing are on the hunt for a Lead Systems Engineer to join the team in the Cheltenham Office! Role and Responsibilities – Lead Systems Engineer  In this brand-new role for an ever-growing business, you will be responsible for leading the definition, development, integration and certification of advanced hydro & electro-mechanical actuation and control systems across the full systems-engineering lifecycle. Other responsibilities include: Lead and influence supplier engineering teams; review and approve supplier analyses, design outputs, qualification evidence, and change proposals. Own the creation and control of system architectures, functional models, and interface definitions across mechanical, software, and electronics Own the system integration strategy, ensuring elements integrate with accuracy and controlled interfaces. Champion continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and tools. Experience or Qualifications – Lead Systems Engineer Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering Extensive engineering experience with aerospace actuation systems or high-integrity systems. Proven experience leading supplier technical activities.
