Junior Test Engineer (838) Cranfield £18.01p/h We are recruiting a Junior Test Engineer for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield. You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company. This is a long-term contract role. The contract is on an ongoing basis a may run for several years. Key Responsibilities of the Junior Test Engineer: • Perform end to end vehicle validation for connected car services in the vehicle. • Ensure the test resources are available before the start of the validation. • Raise incident tickets in the incident management system and track them through to closure. • Follow testing methods & procedures that comply with clients specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure robust validation of the complete telematics systems. • Confirm vehicle level quality, function & reliability standards are maintained by the changes you will be validating. • Conduct root cause investigation of concerns with the relevant stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience for the Junior Test Engineer: • Engineering degree • Have relevant validation experience in automotive but not essential. • Be able to demonstrate and have practical experience in problem solving tools and techniques • Have good written and verbal communication skills. • Competent with PC applications including Microsoft excel and Microsoft presentation. • Have ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously • Be self-motivating and self-managing, Pro-active, energetic, and flexible regarding working practice and working hours. • Be able to travel abroad, typically a few days to 2 weeks, but on rare occasions travel may be long distance and or at short notice. Valid UK/European driving licence is MUST. Hours & Pay for the Junior Test Engineer: • Monday to Friday • 39 hours per week • £18.01 p/h LMIND
