Junior Network Infrastructure Engineer Location: Prestwick Airport – fully onsite Contract: 6 months initially, with potential for extension or a permanent opportunity later on Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8am–5pm; Friday, 8am–1pm Requirements: Full UK driving licence and DBS check Company van provided for work-related travel We’re looking for a Junior Network Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing team based near Prestwick Airport. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in fibre, structured cabling or telecoms infrastructure who wants to broaden their skills and develop into a wider network infrastructure role. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and receive support and mentoring. What you’ll be doing: Tracing and documenting the existing fibre network across a large site Identifying cable routes and connections Supporting fibre and copper cabling work Testing, fault finding and troubleshooting Working with comms cabinets, racks and patch panels Supporting wider network infrastructure projects and upgrades What we’re looking for: Some hands-on fibre, copper or structured cabling experience Experience in a commercial, industrial or large-site environment A practical approach and willingness to learn You don’t need experience in everything above. This is a junior role with genuine development opportunities, ideal for someone looking to build broader infrastructure skills with support from experienced engineers
