Position Title: Interior Systems Project Engineer Duration: Contract Location: Remote Essential Criteria: 7+ years of automotive design experience in Interior systems within Cockpit, Cabin, Restraints or HVAC Low volume vehicle experience Supplier interface experience DVP and testing delivery experience Strong leadership of a team of high performance engineers. Self-motivated to deliver excellence and excellent communicator. Catia V5 literate Nice to Have Criteria: Low volume manufacture experience desirable Additional Information: 12 weeks an initial period and highly likely to be extended. Interfacing with suppliers Supporting on systems and components and the release process within the Client Develop and review designs Supervise and coordinating the development of systems and components Manage adherence to technical and safety requirements across components Support Testing and supporting the resolution of issues identified during all stages of the development lifecycle. Support engineering release engineer Supporting the management of the Clients' vehicle programs, working alongside the Program Management function and balancing cost, quality and timing variables with appropriate, timely KPI's. Breakdown of high-level program targets to detail functional and commodity targets; obtain buy-in for achievement and report against achievement Program costed Bill of Materials maintained + cost change control Work with Cost Engineering to support nomination process and specific cost reduction initiatives. Support in preparing KPIs and presentations for regular milestone reviews with external project customers Ad hoc projects to support the Project Controller and members of the Clients' team, e.g. material cost escalators Manage and drive resolution of Engineering and Build Change Requests
