A global distribution company based in the Brentwood area supplying the aerospace industry are looking to recruit an Inspection Team Leader to manage the priorities of the Inspection Department. Reporting to the Quality Manager you will ensure that products coming into the business are inspected and that compliance to customer and third-party requirements are met. If you have knowledge of Aerospace regulations and are able to read and understand drawings and technical data then this is an excellent opportunity to work for a great company in a fantastic environment. A fantastic modern working environment with state of the art equipment On-site gym, great rest facilities, free fruit and free onsite parking 25 Days Holiday per year plus bank holidays Flexible working hours - Usual working hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12pm Friday Cycle to Work Scheme Enhanced Pension Contribution Duties: Supervising the day to day running of the expanding Inspection Department providing guidance and support to Inspectors Managing department priorities working with relevant departments Manage, review and action Inspection Queries, Shelf Life Inventory, Product Non Conformities and Supplier Returns Support CI activities regarding product quality to identify ways to improve the processes Perform dimensional, visual and documentation inspection on incoming parts and outgoing products Document and review Inspection results and outcomes Create, Manage and Review FAIRs in accordance with AS9102 Participate in Root Cause Failure Mode investigations Document product quality issues / concerns Determine and oversee inspection standards for incoming goods Experience Required: Working knowledge of aerospace regulations Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques and Tools Knowledge of AS9102 and ISO 2859-1 Ability to read and understand technical data including drawings and specifications, etc Prior experience of using measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, etc. Technical engineering apprenticeship would be preferable Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, MS Office.
