This is an excellent platform to showcase and further develop your leadership skills. - **Professional Development**: Engage in continuous learning by training others in interpreting engineering drawings for inspection purposes using advanced tools such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and gauges. - **Impactful Work**: Your role will be crucial in identifying and recording non-conformances, generating PPQP and FAI reports, and ensuring gauge calibration is maintained, directly contributing to the company’s quality standards. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead and direct a team of inspection personnel. - Attend planning meetings and provide workflow direction. - Train team members in interpreting engineering drawings for inspection. - Verify subcontract operations as required by the Works Order (WO). - Identify and record non-conformances. - Generate PPQP and FAI reports. - Maintain gauge calibration. **Skills and Experience Required** - **Expertise in Inspection**: Highly competent and experienced in gauge and CMM inspection, with the ability to programme CMMs. - **Decision-Making**: Capable of making informed team leader decisions to support production. - **Experience**: Prior experience in production inspection within a machine shop environment is essential, ideally gained in aerospace and/or nuclear sectors. **Qualifications** - Apprentice trained to a minimum of City and Guilds qualifications. - Skilled as a Machine Shop Inspector. **Additional Skills** - Keen eye for detail. - Ability to perform within time limits and in a critical environment. - Logical and methodical approach to tasks. **Role Requirements** - Perform any other reasonable tasks as required by the company. - Conform to and enforce all Health & Safety legislation and company safety standards. - Comply with required security standards and company procedures. - Maintain company housekeeping standards. **Key Performance Indicators** - On-time Delivery (OTD) for in-process and final inspections as defined on the Works Order (WO).
