As an HGV Technician you will be: * Working as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieved its objectives and targets * Ensuring quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair orders * Ensuring work is quality assured and in accordance with standards and literature * Maintaining working capacity of machines and tools * Striving to achieve Rectification Ratio – Zero (right first time) * Work closely with the VMU manager and communicate the number of parts and labour needed for additional repairs * Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance * Assure a clean and safe workshop at all times The successful HGV Technician will possess: * City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential * Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs * Practical understanding of using information technology and systems to deliver objectives * Safety awareness and be committed to a right first-time ethos * A flexible and can-do attitude with the ability to work in a team environment and on your own initiative * HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred * Experience with Tail lifts is desirable Benefits: * Company pension * Free parking * On-site parking Schedule: * Day shift 4 on 4 off 06.00 - 18.00 * Night shift 4 on 4 off 18.00 - 06.00 #hgvtechnician #hgvfitter #hgvmechanic
