HGV Technician – 4 On 4 Off | Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles 📍 Billingham 💰 £19.00 – £22.00 per hour 💷 £41,610 – £48,180 per annum (based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern) ⏰ 4 On 4 Off | 12-Hour Shifts 📋 Permanent Position We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle dealership in Billingham for an experienced HGV Technician to join their established workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, well-equipped dealership environment, maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to manufacturer standards while benefiting from a popular 4 on 4 off shift pattern that offers excellent work-life balance. 🔧 The Role As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include: * Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles * Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults * Completing vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance * Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring compliance with DVSA standards * Maintaining accurate job cards and workshop records * Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime 🔧 Requirements * Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) * Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Full UK driving licence * HGV licence advantageous but not essential 🔧 What's On Offer? * Competitive hourly rate of £19.00 – £22.00 per hour * Annual earnings of £41,610 – £48,180 * Excellent 4 on 4 off shift pattern * Permanent, long-term opportunity * Manufacturer training and development * Modern workshop facilities and equipment * Career progression opportunities within a respected commercial vehicle dealership * Overtime available If you're an experienced HGV Technician looking for a new challenge with a premium commercial vehicle brand, we'd love to hear from you.
