HGV Technician - Westbury

Salary: £42,000 for 40 hour week+ Overtime at 1.5

Working Hours: Late shift 1.30pm - 10pm, Early 6am - 2.30pm

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our client's workshop in Westbury
My client has been established since 1931, they are a successful and progressive family-owned business.
The successful HGV Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial such Vans, LCV's, HGV's, Trucks and much more! This position requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cars and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

HGV Technician Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

HGV Technician Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence.
• Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT.
• Ideally you will have a NVQ Level 3, we would be open to looking at level 2.
