Job Role:               HGV Supervisor Location:              Weston-Super-Mare Pay:                         £43,925 Hours:                    M-F 6am-3.30pm & 8.30am-6pm Contract:              Full time permanent role HGV Supervisor Duties Lead, motivate and support the workshop team, ensuring technicians are trained, engaged and working safely in line with company policies and procedures Take full ownership of fleet servicing, repairs and diagnostics, ensuring all work meets legal, manufacturer and quality standards while minimising vehicle downtime Champion a proactive safety culture by promoting best practice, investigating incidents and ensuring all equipment is used and maintained correctly Plan and manage workshop resources effectively, including labour, productivity, parts, stock control and accurate maintenance records Provide expert technical guidance, making informed decisions on repairs or replacements that balance safety, cost and operational efficiency Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, contractors and customers, ensuring value for money, clear communication and timely completion of actions and reports HGV Supervisor Experience Required City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent qualification) Supervisory NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent leadership qualification) Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Commercial Vehicle (HGV) Technician Confident working independently in a physically demanding, safety-critical environment Strong knowledge and practical application of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, including COSHH Up-to-date understanding of vehicle maintenance regulations and operator licensing requirements HGV Supervisor Benefits All overtime paid at 1.5 X – 2 X Company pension with 3% employer contribution IRTEC training and accreditation Free manufacturer product training Free life insurance policy Cycle to Work Scheme Clear promotion opportunities through internal recruitment Opportunity to upskill as a professional driver via our in-house Driver Training Academy Ongoing career development with formal qualifications and vocational certificates Free on-site parking 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme for you and your household Local gym discounts across the region, including swimming pool access and classesIf you are an experienced HGV Mechanic / Technician / Fitter looking to step up or a current HGV Supervisor and would like to apply for this role please make an application via this advert
