HGV Mechanic Location: Rickmansworth Full-Time | Permanent Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per year (depending on experience) A busy and well-established operation in Rickmansworth is seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to join their workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to work on a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards. The Role As an HGV Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to keep vehicles compliant and fully operational. You will play a key role in minimising downtime and maintaining fleet efficiency. Key Responsibilities * Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and safety inspections on HGVs * Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment * Perform MOT preparation and ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards * Complete brake, suspension, engine, gearbox, and general mechanical repairs * Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records * Follow all health & safety procedures at all times About You * Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician * NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused * HGV licence desirable but not essential What’s on Offer * £40,000 – £60,000 per year depending on experience * Overtime opportunities available * Stable, full-time position * Supportive workshop environment * Opportunity to join a reputable and busy operation If you are an experienced HGV Mechanic looking for your next role in Rickmansworth, we would love to hear from you.
