Career-makers recruitment are looking for a "HGV Mechanic" for our client in Manchester. Must be a HGV Mechanic/ Technician NOT A CAR/ LGV Mechanic/ Technician · Must be a qualified HGV Mechanic/ Technician or be a time served HGV Mechanic/ Technician. · Must have prior experience of working as a HGV Mechanic/ Technician – minimum of 1 year experience is required. · Working at our fully equipped, spacious workshop at Little Hulton. · May be required to attend roadside breakdowns – transport will be provided in this scenario. · Predominantly carrying out 6 weekly inspections and MOT preparation on a range of HGVs (Skiploaders, Hookloaders & Bin Trucks). Truck Makes predominantly DAF & Mercedes. · Required to carry out manual handling so must be physically fit enough to meet the demands of the role. · Must be hardworking, reliable and flexible. · Must be organised and self-motivated. · Subject to a month trial period and if successful rate of pay will be reviewed to reflect individuals experience, skill set and commitment to role. · Must hold a valid Cat B driving licence, a Cat C or Cat CE licence is desirable. · Mon – Fri 08:00 – 18:00 (Sats are available).
