In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in executing the thermal design process from concept to production for cutting-edge turbomachinery. You'll analyse and update designs, ensuring they meet stringent requirements for heat transfer and secondary air systems. Key Responsibilities: Create, update, and maintain designs associated with heat transfer and secondary air systems. Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to budget and deadlines. Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with project leads and engineering managers. Participate in round-table meetings, contributing insights and expertise on thermal design. Develop and maintain rules, tools, and methods related to heat transfer and secondary air systems. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3 years of industry experience in thermal design of turbomachinery/combustion hardware and secondary air systems. Proficiency in fundamental hand-calculations and practical design limitations. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to make technical presentations. Awareness of turbomachinery cycle performance drivers and cutting-edge technologies. Experience with heat transfer software, Easy5 experience preferred.
