Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, the H&S Coordinator will work closely with the HSEQ Manager to ensure exemplary levels of health and safety, and compliance across all UK operations, helping to drive continuous improvement in all areas. The H&S Coordinator will support the HSEQ Manager in maintaining and developing the integrated management system, Occupational Safety, Health, Environment, Sustainability Quality and Security. Providing day-to-day support to the business and the management team in relation to all HSEQ matters, monitoring, and maintaining systems to comply with all company policies and procedures. The position will be based around the Heathrow area, with occasional travel to Milton Keynes and Manchester. Qualifications • Hold a recognised Health & Safety qualification, NEBOSH General Certificate, or level 3 equivalent. • Full clean driver's license with the ability to travel periodically around the UK Duties Include: Supporting the HSEQ Manager in identifying hazards and managing risks. • Educate employees on required safety standards within the workplace • Be an initial point of contact for all HSEQ matters • Driving process adherence and good practice for all HSEQ related topics • Support with completion of incident investigation, near miss reports and corrective actions • Undertake routine site inspections and internal audits • Participate in external audits to maintain standards and accreditations • Continually assess existing processes and practices and recommend improvements • Ensure all Health and Safety records and documentation are up to date and accurate • Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace across all sites • Conducting detailed DSE and manual handling assessments when needed • Maintain online E-learning programmes. Assist with external customer audits and standards – ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FORS, RISQS • Organising first aid and fire warden training and maintaining records. • Responsible for workplace mental health awareness. • Undertake specific risk assessments. • Prepare presentations on Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality topics for business wide communication • Lead H&S operational meetings, take minutes and devise action plans • Maintain monthly KPI data • Present HSEQ updates to all departments through face-to-face meetings, online meetings, and emails communications Skills and experience Previous experience in a H&S coordinator or admin role essential, ideally in transport/logistics Experience in an ISO certified management systems Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levels High level of competency in Microsoft office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Ability to analyse data and identify performance trends Ability to prepare complex risk assessments Experience of conducting internal audits and inspections. Experience of participating in external audits Full clean driver's license with the ability to travel periodically around the UK Exceptional time management and organisational skills. Ability to work autonomously. Meticulous attention to detail A sound understanding of the transport and logistics industry A genuine passion and enthusiasm for Health and Safety An understanding of Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations is desirable Knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 9001 (Quality) is desirable
