We have an exciting opportunity for a senior Quality professional to join the senior management team of a growing automotive manufacturing business in Warwick. Job Purpose: The position of Head of QHSE is aimed at managing departments that are responsible for policy formulation, implementation, monitoring and improvement of the QHSE management systems across the organisation. In addition, the Head of QHSE is responsible for closely monitoring rules of conduct, legislation and regulations nationally and abroad that have relevance to the Company. They and their department are also responsible for the guidance and organisation of internal and external audits and improvement projects in the field of QHSE and compliance. Essential Pre-Requisites: * Detailed knowledge of risk assessment & management * Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 * Comprehensive leadership experience – at Director or Senior/Group Management level * Experience of working in multi-site / multi-discipline organisations * Manufacturing experience * Formal H&S qualification – ideally NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (NVQ Lv6) Package Initial salary up to £85,000 + car allowance (£980/month) = annual package of up to £96,760pa. Plus excellent pension, healthcare and other benefit schemes. Main Duties include (but not limited to); * Guaranteeing and structurally improving the quality of supplied components, the end product, the production process and the supporting processes, both within the company and with suppliers. * Guaranteeing and structurally improving the environmental performance of the company and demonstrably complying with all relevant legislative requirements. * Identify & implement strategies to reduce risk for the company and all associates stakeholders. * Assist operational managers with the identification and development of practical and effective safe working practices. * Provide advice and guidance to operational managers and employees on QHSE matters. * Ensure operational managers of the company are aware of their legal and organisational responsibilities. * Ensure operational managers and employees have the appropriate technical competence to work safely by the identification and provision of formal training needs. * Supporting all parts of the QHSE function when required including investigations, meetings, audits and training to ensure that the QHSE function across the Company is as efficient and pragmatic as possible. * Carry out assessments that are outside the competence of operational managers ie Significant Risk, COSHH, DSE and other assessments. * Investigation of accidents and incidents and production of statistical information in relation to QHSE performance. * Establish and maintain engagement and communication with employees on all matters relating to QHSE. * Evaluating suppliers and contractors in relation to QHSE. * Initiating, organising and carrying out product checks and providing feedback to suppliers and internally. * Initiating, organising, leading, implementing and monitoring multidisciplinary improvement programs and improvement projects. * Planning and carrying out trend analyses and measurements of process indicators and monitoring the results. * Planning, supervising, carrying out and following up on audits and external inspections by your own organisation, customers, certifying bodies and/or the competent authority. * Overall responsibly for the Company disaster recovery plan. * Responsible for the management, compliance and upkeep of the quality & environmental procedures, records, and documents relevant to the role
