Our client is seeking a GSE Mechanic to join their thriving workshop at Gatwick Airport. Job Purpose: To undertake the repair and maintenance of ground support equipment (GSE) to the required standard. Adhere to corporate Health and Safety guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Repair and maintain GSE as requested. Carry out inspections, brake, and smoke tests. Diagnose faults and report findings to the Workshop Supervisor. Complete job cards accurately and timely. Ensure effective use of parts and tools. Report defective items promptly. Adhere to health and safety regulations. Experience, Knowledge and Skills required: Min 5 years' experience in vehicle mechanics Level 3 City and Guilds Experience in Auto Mechanics / HGV Mechanic / Plant Mechanics / Light Vehicle Hydraulics experience is desirable Welding and forklift experience is desirable Analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication skills Customer-oriented General health and safety knowledge Qualifications: City & Guilds Level 3 in motor mechanics Full UK Driving licence Forklift (desirable) Contract information: Salary: £42,770.84 per annum Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, early and late shifts Early shifts: 06:00 - 18:00 / Late shifts: 11:00 - 23:00
