Job: General Manager  Location: Darlington (Durham) Salary: Up to £55k + OTE of £70k Hours: Monday – Friday 8am - 5pm General Manager  Darlington (Durham) Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm This well-known and established brand require an experienced General Manager to work from their site in Darlington (Durham).   The successful General Manager must have a strong working knowledge regarding the Industry, must demonstrate a sound understanding of the technical issues.The applicant will have been employed in the trade as a Manager or Supervisor with day-to-day responsibility for one or more sites. Responsibilities will include: Organise the required staffing levels so that the business can run at optimum efficiency without jeopardising both the quality and profitability of repairs within the business. Shall be primarily responsible for recruitment and liaise with the Training Department regarding training needs. Deal with staffing issues on a day-to-day basis including Annual Reviews, Disciplinary, and Grievance. Have sufficient knowledge of what skills are required from the staff. Ensure all operations are completed to the highest standard throughout the business and in line with the requirements of BS10125:2022, and that we can demonstrate an audit trail within the site to prove this happens. To be aware of all the Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations and policies applicable to the business and ensure the site/staff always operate within the law. To conduct full Health and Safety audits at the site as and when required. You will have primary responsibility for all compliance issues and must maintain all records which are required. You will be pro-active in developing trade accounts, and insurer relationships. Will be primarily responsible for the maintenance of current relationships and will develop a marketing strategy to maximise business. You will be responsible for the growth of the sales revenue, and overall profitability, you will be required to report to the Board and to prepare reports as and when required. You will also demonstrate the highest customer satisfaction, you can offer.
