We are looking for a FMEA Facilitator to join a mechanical team based at the clients manufacturing site based in Peterborough on a 12 month contract. In this assignment you will work within a cross functional team to drive quality & consistency into FMEA creation within Engineering, across multiple platforms and for a variety of projects ranging from full NPI (New Product Introduction) programs to individual component design changes. As the FMEA Facilitator you will lead engineers through the full Proactive Reliability process - from risk identification, assigning mitigation activities and creation of the DVP (Design Validation Plan). Responsibilities:- Scheduling, chairing & facilitating FMEA sessions Involvement in FMEAs both at system & component level Provide support & training on FMEA process & FMEA tool software (Plato e1ns) Creation & communication of FMEA health metrics Development of FMEA health metric processes & tools Supporting creation of optimised component & engine level validation plans Seeking & delivering continuous process improvement opportunities Required Skills and Experience:- Experience of DFMEA facilitation and creation Demonstrated experience of planning validation and test requirements A Systems Engineering approach to product development Good communication skills, both written and working as part of a team Experience of Proactive Reliability methods and demonstration of Product Quality Demonstrated experience of Mechanical Design, Development or Simulation 6 Sigma Methodology, Continuous Process Improvement & Lean Experience of applications with construction machinery or generating sets Experience of industrial engines preferably diesel. This is a 12 month renewable contract with an hourly rate of £29.50 per hour plus pension and Holiday.
