Fleet Supervisor Location: Scunthorpe, DN15 8XE Salary: £25,000.00 Contract: Full Time, Permanent Hours: 42.5 hours per week (7.45am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45am to 3.45pm Friday) We are Saferoad VRS and we are recruiting. The Company are a leading supplier and installer of Vehicle Restraint Systems including Safety Barrier and Parapet Systems; we are also one of the market leaders installing Environmental Barrier (Acoustic) and General Fencing, working nationwide on secured contracts. The Role – Fleet Supervisor We are looking for a Fleet Supervisor to join our team! As our Fleet Supervisor you will hold the company’s Operator Licence and maintain the company fleet in accordance with the statutory responsibility of the company. Additionally, you will maintain FORS / CLOCS accreditation and compliance. In addition to this you will: * Ensure legal and operational efficiency, safety and compliance of the commercial fleet and drivers. * To be the escalation point and authority for commercial vehicle maintenance and repairs. * Plan and schedule vehicle maintenance, inspections, MOT’s etc. * Oversee and control drivers’ hours systems and records, e.g., Tachographs. * Monitor and report driver’s compliance with legal requirements, e.g., speeding, fines etc. * Support and facilitate driving license checks. * Ensure that all required documentation is current and accessible through electronic platforms. * Ensure that any hired in vehicles are certified and compliant with site specification. * Maintain the company’s insurance database. * Ensure that drivers are kept up to date with legislation and company policies. * Manage short-term and long-term vehicle hire. * Assist with production of reports for information, preparation and representation for all transport regulatory enquiries. Key Skills and Attributes: * Experience working with fleet vehicles is desirable but this is not essential as training and support will be given. * Must be able to use Microsoft Office, ERP systems and general digital platforms. * Customer Service skills. * Strong organisational skill and ability to prioritise. * Clear and concise written and communication skills * GCSE or equivalent level grades in English and Math (preferably C+) * Office based in Scunthorpe/Kirton in Lindsey, although hybrid working may be available. * Attention to detail and keen eye to spot discrepancies.
