Fleet Engineer- Erith- £45,000 -£50,000 Established in 1990, DGC is part of a £700m group business and is a leader of commercial vehicle rental and contract hire in London and the Southeast. Owing to our recent growth, we are seeking ambitious and hardworking individuals to join our new site in Erith, to grow and develop their career. As a team of customer service specialists in fleet maintenance, we are there to keep our customers informed every step of the way to make sure that any maintenance work that needs doing to their fleet goes as efficiently and effectively as possible. At the same time, we effectively manage our rental fleet to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction. As Fleet Engineer you will: Collaborate, as a member of the senior engineering & local management teams, with colleagues to further develop the business within budgetary guidelines. Liaise between suppliers and customers. Oversee coordination of the fleet maintenance / management with our customers. Coordinate fleet maintenance and repairs via UK network of suppliers using expertise/technical knowledge to make balanced decision/challenge repair costs. Relationship management with key stakeholders. Applicants must have the following skills and experience: An innovative, customer focussed and commercially astute outlook. Excellent communication and analytical skills Be willing to travel to customer sites. A good mechanical HGV knowledge is essential. HGV Licence beneficial Knowledge of fleet compliance.
