Our client is the leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products in the UK, offering tailored healthcare solutions for their valued customers.    They are now looking to recruit an experienced, Repair and Maintenance Controller / Fleet Engineer to look after their fleet of vehicles (vans and HGV’s)            Location:             Covering the South of England – Exeter to Nottingham Salary:                 £36,000 – £45,000 + company car  + annual bonus and a good benefits package   This is an excellent opportunity for you to join the fleet team that manages a growing fleet of over 2000 vehicles.  You will need to be confident, eager and a mechanically minded individual, with previous commercial LCV & HGV fleet engineering experience.  Able to work on your own initiative but also as part of a team to help drive improvements and performance.    Within the role you will be visiting our clients service centres throughout the South ensuring the fleet of vehicles are being managed in the most efficient manner, minimising costs and vehicle down time, challenging suppliers and auditing sites.  You will also keep the service centres up to date with all duty of care and legislative requirements and changes.    It would be an advantage to have temperature controlled knowledge but not essential, but you do need the confidence to dealing with fleet suppliers and a track record of reducing maintenance costs.   Strong communication skills are key as you will be engaging with a wide audience from drivers to senior managers within the business and at time Directors.  Our ideal applicant will have/be;   Fleet management experience is essential HGV and temperature controlled experience would be an advantage An Engineering expert, preferably a mechanical engineering qualification – BTEC or HNC Strong communication skills, able to build relationships across the business Self starter who is comfortable working alone and within a team     eSift have been appointed as the resource partner and we are managing this role on behalf of our client.
